Art Collaborations
The East Coast Boxing Club - Uganda
We created a photobook that expresses the story of East Coast Boxing Club through the words of the founders and members. The photobook is a pictorial representation of how Ugandan twin brothers and boxing champions, Hassan and Hussein, create hope through the sport of boxing.
They have created change and have an impact on the lives of youth, women and a blind boxer living in the community of Naguru, Kampala, Uganda. Some may wonder, why boxing? Doesn’t it  encourage fighting? In fact, it is the opposite. It teaches discipline, health and that NO  fight should be fought other than in the boxing ring, for the sport.
The East Coast Boxing Club has been in operation for over 15 years and continues to endeavor to fulfill their mission of building good boxing talent for Uganda and empowering their surrounding village of Naguru in Kampala. With little means, they create boxers of calibre and have international success stories to speak of. Their boxers have represented Uganda in the Commonwealth games, bringing home medals. Proceeds from the sale of the book go towards this cause.
Kwame Osa - Ghana
Living in Africa and being amazed by the growth and opportunity on the continent but also the barriers to realising the potential and the self-created barriers to improvement, it becomes clear that collaboration is an important fundamental to the continent. We wanted to showcase this through an artistic piece and collaboration.

We worked on this together as a representation of this message. Kwame completed the painting and I completed the material scarf that surrounds the African Woman.
The reason for this image is a message that collaboration is needed to create powerful and resilient growth just as the African Woman creates powerful and resilient communities around her.Â
Jjuuko Hoods and the Exhibitions - Kenya
I was so excited to be able to share the exhibition stage with Jjuuko Hoods whom I met in Uganda. Jjuuko Hoods is a celebrated African artist and brings his unique brushstrokes alive in his depiction of East African influences. His work signifies and embodies life that exists both individually and in communities, whether human or animal, whether rural or urban or reflecting the deep narrative of African life.
Interest in Jjuuko’s work spans both regionally and internationally with over 21 solo exhibitions held in countries such as USA, Canada, France, Denmark, Japan, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.
For this exhibition I was inspired by creating an experience of distraction and possible solace for the viewer through an African lens. As a Mindset and Perspective Leadership coach, my interests and experience in meditative insight, brain distraction, creative processing and a love of nature influenced these works
What an amazing experience! Thanks Jjuuko
Africa Project - Kenya
A project in Collaboration with TMMSAC, Nairobi Kenya.
The project looked at various conversations around Africa in image form. Each part of each piece was made by a local artisan from the wooden frames to canvas and canvas stretching to the framing and sewing with artistic creation from myself and Jjuuko Hoods. The pieces were created in collaboration and recognition of each hand that plays a part in a creation.
